From sketch to golden reality. A commemorative 3D coin design for the Road General Authority, celebrating the 'Distinctive and Safe Roads' initiative.

Problem
The Road General Authority required a prestigious physical award to commemorate the "Distinctive and Safe Roads" initiative. The challenge was to translate a 2D corporate identity into a tangible, 3D object that felt heavy, valuable, and intricate, symbolizing the solidity of the Kingdom’s infrastructure standards.
Solution
We approached this as a digital minting process. We didn't just texture a cylinder; we sculpted the relief. Starting with hand-drawn concept art to define the hierarchy of elements, we moved to a photorealistic render.
For the RGA, we wanted to create an object that felt "earned." The design process followed a strict engineering workflow, which we are proud to showcase in this case study.
The Concept: Establishing the visual balance between the RGA logo and the safety motifs.
The Outline: A wireframe blueprint where we calculated the depth of the engravings and the bevels of the edges.
The Render: The final visualization. We focused on "Surface Imperfections" adding microscopic scratches and light diffraction to the gold material to make it look indistinguishable from a physically minted coin.
